That’s the title of a CNN article about the shooting at the U.S. Holocaust Museum by an alleged Neo-Nazi, James von Brunn. Sel Hubert, 83, of Rye, New York, who was in the Holocaust Museum at the time of the shooting, had this to say about the incident:
“By doing this, he [James von Brunn] gives worldwide notoriety to himself and his ideals of hatred,” said Hubert, who at 13 escaped Germany on a transport to England just weeks before World War II erupted. “He chooses martyrdom to glorify his hatred, similar to a suicide bomber.”
That sounds nice, but there are a few problems with the above quote, not the least of which is the status of Mr. Sel Hubert himself. The title of the article describes Mr. Hubert as a “Holocaust Survivor,” but there’s one little problem with that classification. As noted in the above quote from the CNN article, Mr. Hubert escaped Germany on a transport to England just weeks before World War II erupted. So just exactly how does that qualify him as a Holocaust Survivor?
Which brings up an issue that is tangential to this essay, but one that needs to be clarified at some point. Just exactly what makes one a Holocaust Survivor anyway? Can gentiles who survived Hitler’s concentration camps also wear that moniker? If so, do they also collect checks from the German government provided largely by German taxpayers who weren’t alive at the time of the War? Or is the title “Holocaust Survivor” conferred solely upon Jews who happened to be alive anywhere on the planet between 1938 and 1945? I’m just askin’.
Seriously, I’m glad Mr. Hubert escaped the Holocaust, since he was clearly safely esconced in England during the War; but unfortunately, he seems to be completely tone deaf when it comes to sensing irony in his own words. Comparing Neo-Nazi James von Brunn with a Palestinian suicide bomber is a mixed metaphor at best, and at worst, a cynical attempt to exploit this tragedy to protect Israel from criticism. A Neo-Nazi cannot possibly be compared with a Palestinian suicide bomber, because the Nazis were the perpetrators of human rights abuses against Jews in Europe – but Zionist Jews are the perpetrators of human rights abuses against Palestinians in Israel. In other words, those who were once real victims of Nazi brutality have turned Nazi on the Palestinians, but they somehow fail to notice the hypocrisy.
This is not to justify Palestinians blowing themselves up and taking out innocent Israelis eating in pizza parlors in downtown Tel Aviv. I abhor and reject violence as a solution to anything, and encourage all victims of oppression to use peaceful, non-violent means of resistance (a la Martin Luther King and Ghandi). Because in resorting to violence you lose the moral highground. Not to mention give the Zionist-controlled media the opportunity to exploit Israeli tragedy while ignoring the many thousands of Palestinians the Israelis have killed over the years. Violence is not the answer.
Nevertheless. If a few Palestinians have gone nuts over the years, feeling totally hopeless and overwhelmed, and decided they have nothing to lose by blowing themselves up, then maybe we should ask ourselves what could drive a person to such an extreme. After all, suicide is the most unnatural of human behaviors, since survival is the strongest of all human instincts. So things must be pretty darned bad for young Palestinians to think suicide is their only option for justice. And what drove Jewish victims of Nazi injustice to revolt in the Warsaw Uprising? The same thing. That stinging sense of injustice of being deprived of their human rights and liberty and placed in concentration camps by the Nazis. Kind of like how the Palestinians were driven off their land in 1948 and placed in concentration camps by the Zionists. Mr. Hubert, the honorary Holocaust Survivor, obviously fails to see the hypocrisy of his own words. The only reason there are Palestinian suicide bombers in the first place is because of the injustices perpetrated against them by Israelis.
Unfortunately, Mr. Hubert is not the only “Holocaust Survivor” quoted in the article who seems to lack a sense of irony. Another person quoted in the article, apparently a “real” Holocaust Survivor, had this to say to CNN:
Blumberg, whose father was killed by the Nazis and who spent about a year at Majdanek concentratioan camp in Poland in 1942, was scheduled to speak Sunday at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington, but is now having second thoughts … Anytime a group asks Blumberg to speak about the Holocaust, she obliges, she said, out of a sense of duty to educate people so that the atrocities perpetrated by Nazi Germany are never repeated.”
Another one, completely tone deaf to the irony of her own words. If the atrocities committed by the Nazis should never be repeated (and they shouldn’t), then what does she have to say about the atrocities committed by Zionist Jews against the Palestinians? Did she speak out in January against the atrocities committed in Gaza which killed 1,400 people, mostly women and children? Did she speak out against the use of white phosphorus on the Palestinians which is a documented war crime? Or maybe she’s not so tone deaf after all, and she meant her words quite literally. That the atrocities perpetrated by Nazi Germany can never be repeated, but that Zionist Jews are held to no such standard. Are they missing some component of the brain that appreciates and detects irony and abstraction? Or do they just straight-up mean exactly what they say? That no one will ever mess with the Jews again, but that Jews can mess with whomever they want. Because that’s the way it’s starting to look from the peanut gallery. And it must look like that to the Palestinians.
This is about the time that non-Zionist, anti-war Jews need to have a conversation with their elders – respectfully and gently – but a heart-to-heart talk nonetheless. Because I know that many Jewish Americans do not support their co-religionists’ behavior in Israel. And that was most evident this past January when they were at the forefront of protests against Israeli atrocities in Gaza. I still remember with shame that American Christians were largely silent while Jewish women were getting arrested for locking themselves in the Israeli consulate in Montreal, and protesting in the streets of New York. And I hope these same liberal American Jews will speak out here on the homefront too, because it appears their elders now have our civil liberties in their crosshairs. Check out this chilling quote from Ms. Blumberg:
“Hitler’s Germany, they had freedom of speech and look what happened,” Blumberg said. “Freedom of speech has to be controlled.”
Again, I’m simply stunned by the complete lack of any sense of irony in these words. Could it simply be old age catching up with them, or is there some type of PTSD effect that makes them almost autistic when it comes to abstraction? HELLO! If freedom of speech is “controlled” then it’s not freedom of speech! And it’s not just Ms. Blumberg taking aim at the First Amendment, honorary Holocaust Survivor, Mr. Hubert, chimes in against the Internet:
Added Hubert, “it’s the uncontrolled internet which provides the tools and means for this scourge to spread, and it’s a very dangerous thing that’s happening.”
With all due respect to Mr. Hubert and Ms. Blumberg, the truth spreading freely is only a dangerous thing for those who have something to hide. Like the fact that people are in prison in Europe (and coming soon to a FEMA camp near you) for questioning the number 6 million. And now they want to take away the Internet. I guess the two really do have to go hand in hand, because it’s largely due to the Internet that people have figured out that the number 6 million is dubious, as even the Auschwitz museum attests. Does the ACLU only protect free speech when it comes to porn on TV and homosexual indoctrination for kindergartners? Or are they really fighting for our civil liberties? Guess we’re all about to find out.
Because one thing’s for certain from this incident and many others like it: that our elite controllers are working day and night to figure out a way to subvert the Constitution to keep us serfs under wraps. Specifically, with regard to the First and Second amendments. And this incident is a perfect way to kill two birds with one stone, since it renews calls to take away our guns, as well as freedom of speech, including access to the Internet. Because they obviously fear that if we ever find out that we’ve been lied to, we just might take up arms against them, and it’s 1938 all over again. For the millionth time. And that’s what this is really all about, regardless of who this von Brunn character is, or what he stands for, or how repugnant he may be.
Assuming this was not a false flag operation, and right now I’m not sure what to make of it, the fact that this guy went after the Holocaust Museum has got to have our elites shaking in their boots. How dare those chattel question their new religion, or the fact that their tax dollars pay for this thing, when there’s no museum for the gentiles who died in World War II. And why is this thing even on U.S. soil in the first place? Weren’t we the ones who liberated those concentration camps at the cost of thousands of American lives? Shouldn’t the museum be dedicated to Americans who saved Jewish lives and how great our country is that we took them in? Instead, we now have Holocaust Survivors kvetching that our Constitution offends them, and that we shouldn’t get all uppity about freedom of speech.
Sorry, but it’s just not going to work this time. Americans are now officially coming down with Holocaust burn-out, nutjob von Brunn and his crime notwithstanding. Yes, what happened to Jews during World War II was an atrocity, whether 6 or 6 million, and it should never be allowed to happen again. To anybody. And that includes the Palestinians, who for 60 years have had to pay the price for Nazi crimes, when they had nothing whatsoever to do with Nazi crimes. Just like we Americans had nothing to do with Nazi crimes, except for the fact that we paid in blood and treasure to stop them, yet that still doesn’t seem to be enough. We must now pay with our tax dollars for the U.S. Holocaust Museum which only honors Jewish victims as if only Jews died during World War II. And now we must also pay in blood and treasure for the survivors of Nazi crimes to act like Nazis themselves and dispossess an innocent people of their land, and on and on it goes.
And it will only stop when those who love peace and freedom demand that the Palestinians finally get justice and that we no longer finance their oppressors. And we must let it be known that our Constitution is not going to be subverted just because a group of former victims doesn’t feel safe with the rabble having freedom of speech. Sorry, but they’re not the only people who ever experienced injustice, and they’re never going to feel safe until they stop victimizing other people. Truth hurts, but it needs to be said, for their good and the good of all the world. I know their motto is “never forgive, never forget,” but maybe it’s time to let go. Don’t forget – but try forgiveness. It’s cheaper and it feels a whole lot better. Peace.
